What a fun day in the snow....AT SCHOOL!  I am so glad the forecast was finally correct and we were all together to enjoy it!

Learning about Blubber

During our study of penguins and polar animals...we learned that some polar animals like penguins have an extra layer called blubber that helps these animals survive in their cold, icy temperatures!  We enjoyed doing a science experiment to see how much warmer you would be with an extra layer of blubber.

Meet Ms.Linskey

We are so excited about having Ms.Madelyn Linskey as a teacher intern from the University of Alabama!  She has been great with the students and is going to be starting to teach a unit on Famous Faces (People famous for being first at something!).  This will coincide with our study of other Famous Americans!

Please put Friday, March 4th on your calendar.  This day will mark the beginning of the Famous Faces Museum.  Also, participating will be Mrs. Horst's class, Ms. Myrick's class, Mrs. Frith's class, and Mrs. Hamner's class.  We are looking forward to it!  Watch your child's backpack for more information coming soon!

Christmas in Room 408

We had a great time at our classroom Christmas party!  A fun time was had by all.....We sure did miss Chandler and Colton who were sick this day!!!
